Graduation Card DoStamperSTARS Thursday Challenge 085

How many graduations do you have this June?  Well, when I saw this week's DoStamperSTARS sketch challenge, I immediately thought of a mortar board.  Okay....maybe I took a few liberties with the challenge, but a girl's gotta do, what she's gotta do....especially when she's under the wire.

Here is my card....

To make the mortar board I made a template using two triangles punched from the Triangle Punch, which I then adhered to the Night of Navy cardstock forming a diamond shape and fussy cut out.  The hat portion of the mortar board was punched out using the Build a Cupcake Punch.  After I punched out the cupcake, I cut off the scalloped edge with my paper trimmer.   The tassel was extremely easy, especially when I followed Dawn Olchefske's technique. Click HERE to watch Dawn's tassel video.

I hope this will inspire and help you with all your graduation cards.
