The other day I decided to start wearing my Fourth of July clothes and was going thru my jewelry box for my Fourth of July jewelry (please don't tell me I'm the only one who has Fourth of July clothes and jewelry to match), when I pulled out a pair of earrings and thought, "These would make a GREAT card".
The earrings are at least 25 years old and I purchased them from Carrie, my Avon Lady. Remember those days, every couple of weeks your Avon Lady would ring your doorbell and come in to visit and hopefully leave with an order. Carrie, if you're reading this....thank you for all those years of being my Avon Lady!
Onto the card.....
For my card, I've decided to make it into an easel card. This was very easy to do. Here are the steps:
- Place the full card base, folded in half on the cutting plate with the die of choice placed slightly above the fold. Run this thru the Big Shot
- Once cut, open the card base up, find the center of the front and score it horizontally. Fold and burnish.
- Cut the same shape out of a single layer of card stock.
- Embellish the single, cut layer.
- Adhere the embellished, single layer die shape to the bottom portion of your card base.
- Place a stopper in the inside of the card, positioning it where/how you want your front image to sit.
It's that simple!
