Linda K's Stampin' Page: Stampin' Up!'s Gingham Gala Quick and Easy Easter Basket

A tisket, a tasket, a Stampin' Up!'s Gingham Gala basket.... That's right, it's basket making time and Stampin' Up!'s Gingham Gala makes this basket a snap!

All you will need is the Stampin' Trimmer, the Simply Score, cardstock, DSP, scissors and adhesive. Of course, you can embellish it up to suit your taste, or keep it simple.

Here is the recipe:

Cut a strip of cardstock 3/4" x 11"

punch a hole about 1/2" from each end, set aside this is the handle

Cut a piece of cardstock to 6x6

score at 2" and 4"
rotate and score at 2" and 4"

Burnish the score lines
Cut the top and bottom vertical score lines to the first horizontal score line
Cut 4 pieces of DSP to 1-3/4" x 1-3/4"
Sponge the edges of the DSP
Apply adhesive and adhere to the four corners of the scored cardstock
Place adhesive around the punched holes on the handle
Adhere to middle outer square on each side of the basket

Apply adhesive to the inside, upper corners of four corners that have DSP
Bring each side up, creating a diamond and adhere to the middle square.
Punch thru the two outer layers following the center hole.
Place a decorative brad, button, bow and any other embellishment of your choice to dress up the outside.
Fill and enjoy!
