Stampin' Up!'s 2018 Holiday Catalog is LIVE!!!!

Finally the day is here!  Stampin' Up!'s 2018 Holiday Catalog is LIVE!

What better way to kick it off than to showcase my first Halloween card.

This card I used many products to create a spooky  scene.  I think it was worth it in the end, what do you think?

If you would like to know how I made this card, here how:

  1. Cut a piece of black cardstock, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, fold in half
    1. Place the Hometown Greeting Edgelits at the front, top of the card and run it thru the Big Shot.  Since I wanted to make this a I spooky card, I placed the cross of the steeple above the edge of the paper, which then turned the church into a school.
  2. Cut a piece of Toil and Trouble DSP to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 for the backdrop.  Note:  Pay attention to the pattern both on the front and back since the back will be seen when the recipient opens the card.
    1. Cut small portions of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to illuminate the buildings and glue in place.
    2. Adhere the black cardstock to the DSP.
  3. Cut a piece of Gray Granite cardstock to 3 x 4-1/4 and create dimension by gently ripping the top.
    1. Stamp the Happy Halloween from the Cauldron Bubble bundle in the center using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    2. Glue in place.
    3. Sponge the edges of the card using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  4. Cut a tree using the In The Woods Framelits die and Wood Texture DSP.
    1. Adhere to the Gray Granite cardstock
  5. Stamp the frog from the Cauldron Bubble bundle using Call Me Clover ink pad.
    1. Color in the frog using the Blender Pens and Call Me Clover ink.
    2. Color the eyes of the frog using the Daffodil Delight Light Stampin' Blends marker.
  6. Stamp the  "face" half of the pumpkin from the Seasonal Chums stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    1. Using the Stampin' Blends Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight, color in the pumpkin.
    2. Fussy cut the pumpkin out.
    3. Using a black Sharpie, darken the edges.
  7. Fussy cut out the witches' hat of your choice from the Toil and Trouble DSP.
    1. Using a craft knife, make a slit in the hat to fit over the pumpkin
  8. Adhere the hat to the pumpkin.  Using Dimensionals, place the dressed up pumpkin on the front of the card.
  9. Using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, anchor the frog, tree and pumpkin.
  10. Wink the frog, hat, eyes, nose and mouth of the pumpkin.
